Scar Collector Mines
With or without Cordite:Â This section will follow the same general principles. First, if you enter the Company Store where Cutter-Throat resides in, she and her goons will automatically attack. It’s better to take her out from afar so you have the initiative advantange.
Once they’re down, open the safe (Lockpicking 10) which has a Fusion Launcher.
Follow the path and defuse the mines (Explosives 8). You can spot some buried items such as the Proton Axe.
Open the gate at the end (Sneaky Shit 8) so you have the high ground when fighting the Scar Collectors and the turrets.
Without Cordite: If you don’t have Cordite with you, you’ll need to inspect the blood spatters on the ground. This will provide an addendum to the sidequest.
The doorway can be opened (Lockpicking 9), and you’ll find yourself in a control room.
Power-up and inspect the terminal (Nerd Stuff 9) to spawn friendly “Communist” bots. One of the bots will even follow you around as a unique AI-controlled companion.
There’s a toaster here (Toaster Repair 8) that nets you the Real Bloodstaff blunt weapon, and one of the containers has a Soviet Sec Pass that lets you access the crashed space station itself.
In the mines, you’ll spot some containers (Lockpicking 9-10). The safe even has a hilarious cassette involving two cosmonauts. Likewise, there’s a generator (Mechanics 8) that’ll open the control room (in case you don’t have a high enough Lockpicking skill).
Take care not to cause damage to the nearby terminal because you can hack it to enter the station. Alternatively, use the Soviet Sec Pass or Lockpicking 10.
Take out the mobs in the next section and pick up your loot. The Gippers won’t be pleased if they see what’s in this room.
You’ll find Dee Sharp in the final room. There are several Scar Collectors here and a Mecha Growler.
Be careful when using explosives since there’s a fuel canister next to Dee Sharp.
After killing all the hostiles, pick up the loot (and the Soviet Sec Pass if you don’t have one yet). This will open the airlock so you can exit the station. Speak with Dee Sharp as well.
With Cordite: Your objective here is the Betamax tape in the airlock. Grab it from the chest as well as the Exoskeleton Armor in the other container.
Without Cordite:Â Your objective here is finding Dee Sharp (which you just did). You can still pick up the Betamax tape, but it won’t matter. You’ll simply need to kill Cutter-Throat and her goons inside the Company Store and Dee Sharp will take control of it. She’ll then call on the other Scar Collectors to overthrow Steel-Trap.
With this part done, you can head to the Godfisher Windfarm. If you’ve already done the sidequest there, go ahead and deal with Liberty Buchanan.
