Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is here and changes the game pretty significantly. There’s a variety of new weapons, cosmetics, balance changes, and game modes. In fact, one such game mode is not new but a returning fan favorite with new mechanics: Resurgence. First introduced during Call of Duty: Warzone, Resurgence is a much smaller, faster-paced battle royale mode in which players respawn after dying instead of being sent to the Gulag. The map is smaller, and of course, the last team standing wins. In Warzone 2.0, Resurgence has a new mechanic for players to engage with: restoring honor. But what does this new mechanic entail, and how do you restore honor in Warzone 2 Resurgence?
Warzone 2: How to restore Honor in Resurgence
Fortunately, restoring honor in Warzone 2.0‘s Resurgence game mode is pretty simple. Of course, the mechanic only exists within the Resurgence game mode, which currently only has one map: Ashika Island. Regardless of whether you’re playing solo or with a squad, you or friendly players drop a dog tag on death once per game.
To restore honor, you simply need to pick up one of these dog tags. The tags can be your own or belong to a teammate. Note, however, that unlike other game modes involving dog tags like Kill Confirmed, dog tags dropped by enemies cannot be picked up or otherwise interacted with.
When you pick up a dog tag, you’ll receive a small amount of money and a UAV ping that highlights nearby enemies and supply crates. This reward plays into the central themes of the Ashika Island map and the Season 02 update as a whole. Japanese warrior culture and the honor and respect between them heavily influence these aspects of the update.
You can play Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 for free on Steam and Battle.net.
