A new gameplay trailer has been released for Warhammer: End Times Vermintide, with all the rat-bashing you could want.

My first thoughts on watching this are Dark Messiah of Might & Magic – only that didn’t have co-op. And had a lot of kicking. And was less focused on hordes of swarming enemies. So, okay, maybe it’s not that similar, but when I see something get hit really hard and the body ragdolls into a flaming pit, there are only so many comparisons I can make.

Warhammer: End Times Vermintide is Fatshark’s (War of the Vikings) take on the Warhammer universe, pitting a team of players against invading hordes of murderous Skaven. Much as I prefer not to be too enthusiastic about anything I haven’t actually played, I’m rather looking forward to this. The trailer certainly makes it look like there’s a lot still to be done, but any opportunity to bash sneaky ratmen into pits is one I will happily take.

Warhammer: End Times Vermintide is due out in the second half of 2015.
