Warhammer 40K: Space Marine collectors edition detailed

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

THQ has revealed one of those ever-so-popular collectors editions for upcoming third-person Bolterfest Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.
Can you guess what it includes? I bet you can. If you guessed an artbook, a soundtrack, some ‘character information cards’ and a seal. Not the animal, or the singer, but a kind of wax mark thing that a medieval king might sign letters with.
It’ll cost you $80.00 USD for the PC version and $90.00 for either of the consoles. Why? Well, maybe the console ones have a shinier box or something.

There are some not-at-all-tedious advance order offers going around too, which are as follows:
Wal-Mart: wants to warmly embrace you with a Golden Relic Bolter.
Gamestop: says “please buy our version” with an Emperors Elite Pack, which is apparently “unique Space Wolves and Black Templar chapter armor skins”. Oh yes.
Best Buy: have gone all chaotic to offer the Traitor Legion Pack which translates as “complete armor sets for the Iron Warriors and Emperor’s Children.” Mm.
Amazon: are keeping things simple and just offering a Golden Relic Chainsword.
Steam: will give you a freebie copy of Darksiders and some Blood Ravens chapter armour.
Finally, THQ’s own store will hand over an exclusive Power Sword for multiplayer use.
Or you could just wait a few months for a ‘complete’ edition to be released which will probably contain all of that crap.
If you’re more interested in the game than silly trinkets, have a read of the IncGamers hands-on preview.
