Warhammer 40,000: Darktide players have been enjoying the cooperative first-person take on the Warhammer universe, but they may still be getting to grips with all of the unique systems and mechanics in the game. The central hub of operations area in Darktide contains various kiosks that can be used to buy items and upgrade your gear. One of these Darktide kiosks is called the Shrine of the Omnissiah.
Players who have been exploring the hub area in Darktide and trying to make sense of things may have come across the Shrine already. However, understanding what it does is a different matter. Here is what you need to know.
What is the Shrine of the Omnissiah in Darktide?
Finding the Shrine of the Omnissiah in Darktide is the first step. If you are in the spawn area of the Mourningstar, simply turn right to find a kiosk that contains Hadron in the center of it. There will also be a servitor. Once you have found this, all you need to do is interact with any terminal to gain access to the Shrine of the Omnissiah. Use the shrine will let players ‘Entreat Hadron,’ as well as do some other things that are not yet available in the game.
In the Entreat Hadron menu, you will be able to Consecrate an item. You can choose an item from your inventory to do this with. In simple terms, consecrating an item will let you upgrade it to improve its stats, rating, and more. It might even provide a new Perk or Blessing to the weapon. As far as upgrade trees go, this would mean that a white weapon is upgraded to a green weapon. Green weapons are improved to blue, and this continues to the highest level.
Consecrating requires Diamantine and Plasteel resources which can be found during missions. Developer Fatshark has confirmed that other options will be available in the Darktide Shrine of the Omnissiah in the future. These include: Refine Item, Earn Blessing, Re-Bless, and Combine Blessings. Refine Item improves weapons, Earn Blessing takes an weapon’s blessing for another, Re-Bless inserts said blessing into a new weapon, and Combine lets you mash three Blessings into one before putting the result in a weapon.
