Paradox’s world-encompassing grand stategy title Victoria II has received an equally large patch today, fixing multiple issues.
When I reviewed the game last year, it was definitely in need of some extra development time. You can read a big ol’ list of what’s been changed here, with my summary to follow.
In short, the AI has been given a thorough going over, allowing it to act in a manner more befitting of a nation state. Key areas of the game like populations, military, economics, diplomacy, technology and rebels have also all received some attention.
Sounds like it’ll play like quite a different game. If you bought Victoria II from a digital download site, they’ll furnish you with the latest patch in due course. If you need to manually install it, it can be found here.
