Just yesterday, we reported on Vicious Circle, which will release on August 13 exclusively on PC via Steam. Today, however, Alienware Arena is giving away exclusive closed beta keys for a very limited time period. To be more specific, the closed beta period takes place today, July 25, from 5-9 PM CT (6-10 PM ET).
It’s a very tight window, so if you don’t want to miss it, you’d better grab your key as quickly as possible from Alienware Arena. You’ll need an account for that site, which you can easily create in a couple of minutes. Once you do, you’ll be able to get your key and activate it on your Steam client. The developers say it’s an early, in-development, closed beta build, so you should expect it to be rough around the edges. It’s also a pretty hefty game, and you’ll need 20GB of free space.
Vicious Circle will reward foul play
It looks like Vicious Circle is an “anti-hero shooter”. It has some similarities with the likes of Overwatch, but geared more towards dirty tricks and foul play. Those aspects ought to keep it interesting. The challenge, as always, is whether the game will manage to garner a significant-enough player base to keep it going. We’ve seen more than a few hero shooters fail to achieve a milestone in the past few years, more recently LawBreakers and Battleborn. That’s just always going to be a risk with this kind of online multiplayer games. Let’s hope Rooster Teeth Games manages to get some traction with it.
So if you were looking to give this a shot, here’s your chance. However, again, it’s a very short period for a closed beta, only available today from 6-10 PM EST. Make sure you don’t miss it! And if you do check it out, feel free to drop into the comments below to tell us what you think!
