Later on this year Velvet Assassin is released and brings you into the WWII world a lot differently to other games of the WWII genre. This time you’re a beautiful spy behind enemy lines and your challenge is to win the war from where you are without any backing from anyone.
As a result you have to live off the land and, therefore, have to use what weapons are available to you, most of which will obviously be German.
You’ll be able to experience pistols like the Colt, the Luger and the Luger Carbine, a choice between a G-43 or STG-44 rifle, the famous MP-40 and MG-42 machine guns as well as a shotgun and flamethrower. Not to mention a healthy helping of grenades.
Inspired by a true story based on Violette Szabo, a secret agent executed some time in February 1945, one can only hope that the game ends a little better.
Her story is a pretty cool one though and, if done right, this game could bring a whole new dimension to an already dead, but still being flogged horse.
That is all.
