Velvet Assassin Goes Gold

This article is over 15 years old and may contain outdated information

Southpeak Games has announced that Velvet Assassin has gone gold. The 360 and PC game casts players as Violette Summer, a British secret agent deep behind enemy lines in a World War 2 era Nazi Europe. The game mixes up the stealth and action with the notion that the game is told in flashback, with Violette bed-ridden and presumably dying. Morphine shots administered in the real world assist her in her fevered dreams, in which she’s reliving her past missions – breaking into Nazi strongholds, assassinating officers, and the like.Apparently, the game focuses on the reality of the situation, with “no technological marvels, no special weapons, just your wits and the equipment on hand.”Violet Assassin is “shipping to retailers” on 30 April.
