Call of Duty: Vanguard Season Two was delayed to improve the state of the game. It is promising to see that these improvements are continuing to be made after the debut of the new season. The latest Vanguard patch focuses on weapon and kill streak balancing, while fixing bugs.
Vanguard‘s newest update introduces some balancing adjustments. The first is to the MP-40 submachine gun, which now has a decreased damage range. Also, adjustments have been made to kill streaks such as the Spy Plane and Counter Spy Plane to enter and exit the map faster, all the while making them easier to take down. The Bombing Run now has a better flight path to avoid damaging you if you called it in, while the damage and damage range of the bombs have been reduced. For clarity, Attack Dogs have an extra audio cue to let you know the position of a nearby dog.
The rest of the Vanguard patch focuses on bug fixes. To the Welgun, an issue has been fixed that would not allow you to progress towards unlocking it. In addition, a bug that prevented you from equipping the Atomic camo from being equipped on the Gorenko Anti-Tank sniper rifle has been repaired. Speaking of sniper rifles, a problem has been addressed which caused your game to disconnect when aiming down sight with the Hardscope and Quickscope proficiencies.
Vanguard patch makes a highly requested change to Zombies
Moving on to Zombies, the biggest change that has been made is to the Ray Gun. Due to community feedback, the damage, splash damage radius, ammo count, and ammo pick ups have been changed. The base damage of the Ray Gun has been increased from 300 to 400. The damage of the first Pack-a-Punch tier is now 900 from the previous 600. Tier two damage has been raised from 1200 to 1800 and tier three 2400 to 3600.
