The first trailer for the game came out last year in July 2020. It has been quite some time since we last heard about it. In the game, you switch control between three different vampire characters. The first is Hazel Iversen, known as the Swan. She is the new head honcho of the female vampires in Boston. Her job is to keep the titular Masquerade going, which is a ruse that the vampires use to keep their identity hidden from us normal humans.

However, Hazel gets drawn into a web of murder and conspiracy as the Masquerade is at risk of completely unraveling. Hazel is the only vampire we know about so far, but there are two others that will be playable in the game. Each character has a particular type of gameplay that players can use. The three main vampires focus on either intimidation, seduction, or stealth. This Vampire the Masquerade Swansong trailer features Leysha, who focuses on stealth.

For every choice, a consequence

Swansong puts a large emphasis on consequences for your actions. Players must weigh their options carefully as each decision can have unforeseen ramifications. Your relationships with other characters can also affect how the game plays out. So, you will have to decide how close to keep your friends, as well as your enemies.

Vampire: the Masquerade – Swansong does not currently have a release date as of now. The one thing we do know is that the game will be an Epic Games Store exclusive. Afterwards, it will probably release on other services like Steam. You can keep an eye on their official site for more news as it becomes available.

For you vampire fans that want to play something supernatural a little sooner, there’s Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt to check out. It’s an upcoming battle royale that pits vampires against one another.
