Valve Details Steam’s ‘Extraordinary’ 2009 Growth

Throughout 2009, Steam has seen a major increase in accounts, concurrent players, unit sales.The service has not only broken 25 million active accounts – 25% more than the previous year – but the service has seen over 2.5 million concurrent players, and over 13 billion average monthly player minutes.If that’s not enough, unit sales increased by 205% over the last year, which is the fifth year in a row the service has seen an annual increase in sales of over 100%.
