To close out September, Microsoft is bringing nine new titles to PC Game Pass, with the most notable game being Valheim. Iron Gate AB’s popular survival game boomed in popularity last year, quickly becoming one of the most played games on Steam.
Despite its Early Access status, Valheim has plenty to offer. Since its launch, it has received several major updates that greatly expanded the available content. This includes the Hearth and Home update that fleshed out player housing and the Mountain update that added a whole new biome for players to explore.
Valheim isn’t the only big game coming to PC Game pass. Joining it is Deathloop, a well-received first-person shooter released by Bethesda last year. Deathloop is developed by Arkane Studios, the minds behind the Dishonored series, and it shows. Just like Dishonored, Deathloop is a primarily single-player-focused shooter that rewards strategy and stealthy gameplay. Shooters like Deathloop are a rare breed in this day and age, so it’s definitely worth checking out for those interested.
The third major title coming to PC Game Pass is Moonscars, an upcoming Metroidvania that releases on September 27. It will be available on PC Game Pass on day one. Developed by Black Mermaid, it promises to push players through an “unforgiving nonlinear 2D world,” filled with relentless darkness.
The rest of the line-up
Joining Valheim, Deathloop, and Moonscars on PC Game Pass are six more games with four being available on day one of launch. Beacon Pines, Slime Rancher 2, and SpiderHeck will all be added to PC Game Pass on September 22 . Slime Rancher 2 is a particular fan favorite, with the original game receiving ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ reviews on Steam.
Towards the end of September PC Game Pass will also receive Grounded, Let’s Build a Zoo, and Paw Patrol Grand Prix. Grounded is already out, but it’s leaving Early Access on September 27. Let’s Build a Zoo follows Grounded onto PC Game Pass on September 29, with Paw Patrol Grand Prix rounding the month off on September 30.
