In V Rising, Simon Belmont is found in the Harpy Nest which is in the south of Silverlight. I’ve also seen him patrolling the roads in Farbane Woods, so he is a roaming boss. He’ll attack on sight and, this happened to me, he will chase you if you try to run away during the fight. Needless to say, so make sure you’re ready.

While you’re out and about looking for and preparing to fight Simon Belmont, you might want to prep for the Silverlight Hills boss. It’s a tough area with an even tougher boss, but the rewards are worth it. You’re already in that area; might as well make the most of it.

Simon Belmont has “??” where his level should be so it’s hard to know at what level you should fight him. The bosses adjacent to him in order of easiest to hardest are levels 77 and 83, so if you’re a level around that area, you can take Simon Belmont on. However, I was level 91 and the fight was still challenging for me.

Simon Belmont is a fairly straightforward boss in V Rising. Watch out for his AoE attacks, of which he has many. I recommend chipping him away as he charges up for attacks and continuously uses ranged attacks. When he is close to dying, he’ll do a large spinning AoE attack that will heal him, so make sure to watch out for that and kill him before he can finish it.

How to get and use the Whip in V Rising

  • Domina The Blade Dancer V Rising Location

You permanently unlock the Sanguine Whip weapon by defeating Simon Belmont in V Rising. It’s a novel weapon that reminds me of Castlevania, but it also puts in work. However, if you’re not quite ready to take on Simon Belmont, you can unlock the standard Whip weapon by defeating Domina the Blade Dancer, a level 60 boss. It’s around this level that you can also unlock the Spider Form.

Domina the Blade Dancer is found in Rustlock Village which is in the southeast section of Gloomrot. She’s objectively easier to beat than Simon Belmont, so if you are hunting for the fastest way to unlock the Whip in V Rising, go to Rustlock Village and defeat Domina the Blade Dancer.

If you are working toward defeating Simon Belmont or already have, you should look into learning how to move your base. The better your castle position, the more fluid and fun the game will be for you.
