A few days ago we pointed you all to the Universim Kickstarter which has so far raised more that $54,000 in a matter of days.
The dev team has now posted their first update in which they thank everyone for support and also answer a few questions. Naturally backers are keen to know when an alpha and beta version will be released but that’s going to completely depend on funding.
“If our Kickstarter campaign is successful, we plan to release the Alpha as soon as possible. Hopefully before the end of this year (2014)”, say Crytivo. “The more we are able to raise, the bigger the team we can afford and the faster we can develop. We expect the Early Beta phase to follow a few months after this. The Steam exclusive beta will commence near the end of the beta phase to do a final test before launch.”
There’s also  good news is we will never see Universim on a mobile device, a fact that will please the rest of the team here at IncGamers if you listen to the podcasts. I also think Crytivo could be having a cheeky pop at 22Cans’ Godus which has so far let down many fans of the genre.
So far the rate of funding has been solid and with any luck this will be one that makes it. If you’ve not yet checked out the Kickstarter page then do so now.
