Despite rumours to the contrary, Ubisoft has stated this afternoon that hackers have still not successfully cracked Assassin’s Creed II or Silent Hunter 5.

According to a tweet from Ubisoft HQ, the games are still hack-proof:

We’re happy to say ACII & SH5 are withstanding the efforts to crack them. We see the rumors but still confirm no valid cracked versions exist”

This follows earlier reports that some players couldn’t access Assassin’s Creed II over the weekend due to the game’s DRM, which is what prevents hackers from cracking the game.
