Ubi never said Ghost Recon: Future Soldier wasn’t coming to PC

This article is over 12 years old and may contain outdated information

If you’ve been following the history of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier as a PC game then you’re forgiven for perhaps being slightly confused about the situation.
Observe the general jist of things:
It might be coming to PC, it’s not coming to PC, Ubisoft doesn’t want to make PC games anymore, Ghost Recon Online is coming to PC instead of Future Soldier… actually, no, Future Solider IS coming to PC – that’s the short version.
However, in a recent interview with us ‘ere at IncGamers, Future Soldier’s associate producer Yann Suquet told us that they had never said that the game wasn’t coming to PC. Instead, the interview that suggested such a thing was “completely misinterpreted.”
“…we never said it wasn’t coming to the PC,” Suquet told us. “What happened was that the producer of Ghost Recon Online said something that was completely misinterpreted, and somehow ended up as “Ubisoft will no longer make PC games.””
According to Suquet, a PC edition of Future Soldier was never out of the question:
“The truth is that we’ve always considered doing it. The fans want it so we’re going to make it. The misinterpretation caused the confusion that Ghost Recon: Future Soldier on PC is being replaced with Ghost Recon Online, but it isn’t. It’s a completely different game. Future Soldier is definitely coming to 360, PS3 and PC.”
So, it’s coming to the PC then. But is Future Soldier any good? Find out in our very recent hands-on preview.
Our full interview with Mr Suquet will be online in the coming days.
