Twitch Prime has been giving out free gaming content for a while now. Most of the time, it’s cosmetics or in-game items. But every now and again, it offers up free games. The service, which comes free with an Amazon Prime subscription, is doling out five new games for its members for November. On tap this time are Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition, Planet Alpha, Turmoil, Sword Legacy: Omen, and Double Cross.
Darksiders II
Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition is easily the biggest offering here. The game has you playing as Death of Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse fame. The RPG did not overly dazzle our team back when it came out at $29.99. But for the low Twitch Prime cost of free, it may well be worth checking out.
Planet Alpha
Planet Alpha goes for the beautiful alien world approach but takes it from a side-scrolling perspective. The twist here is that the world changes with the day-night cycle. You are able to control time to manipulate the world to your advantage. The game genuinely looks great, so this may well be the sleeper hit of this Twitch Prime batch.
Turmoil
Turmoil looks like a cross between Motherload and a town management game. You’re out to strike it rich drilling for oil. Can you cement your legacy in the fossil fuel industry?
Sword Legacy: Omen
Sword Legacy: Omen is a tactical game about building up your heroes, led by Uther, on a quest to find Excalibur. It seems a bit like an Arthurian legend take on The Banner Saga. If you need a strategy fix, it’s worth taking a look.
Double Cross
Last up from Twitch Prime is Double Cross, an interdimensional side-scrolling beat ’em up. It’s got a charming art style, reminiscent of a Cartoon Network show. You’ll be set out to maintain peace across the multiverse.
That’s all the games on offer from Twitch Prime this time. Several of these games look interesting enough to check out even though I’ve never heard of them. These games are all free to current Twitch Prime subscribers, so there’s no barrier to entry. If any of these catch your eye, they’ll be available this coming month.
