It appears that live streaming options are becoming all the rage with news that EA are adding Twitch integration to Origin sometime in the near future.

Gamers will be able to broadcast their gameplay direct to their Twitch channels by bringing up Origin while in-game via a hotkey, signing into their Twitch account, and voila, your gameplay will be live in your channel. There’s also a broadcast indicator that appears at the top of your screen in-game to keep tabs on how popular your stream is.

Settings for the stream can also be tweaked by setting the FPS and broadcast resolution, it all looks pretty simple to use and more Twitch services are planned following initial testing.

Another nice new addition to Origin is the ability to add games to your list that have been purchased outside of Origin and these can also be broadcast through Origin to Twitch.

These latest changes are nice addition to the Origin client, it’s still not quite as good as Steam, but it’s getting there slowly but surely.
