Tuck into a t-bone in Dirt Showdown demo

This article is over 12 years old and may contain outdated information

A demo of Codemasters Racing’s Dirt Showdown title is now available through Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and for PC (probably through Steam). In it, you’ll be able to take part in a chaotic single player ‘8 ball’ race close to San Francisco’s iconic Golden Gate bridge.
If you challenge a friend online, this will unlock the ‘Rampage’ multiplayer mode (presumably for the same track), in which eight players can wrestle it out for demolition derby supremacy.
Dirt Showdown will use Codemasters’ new RaceNet system, announced when the company switched to focusing solely on racing titles. Demo users will be invited to sign up for the beta of this system, which promises to track “Races, Rivals and Rewards” online.
