Tron: Evolution Combat Inspired By Capoeria ‘Dance Of War’

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

A new video diary has been released for Tron: Evolution, in which several of the developers talk about the importance of fluidity of movement in the game.
They’ve taken the internal “mobility is life” slogan to heart, to the extent that actions like Prince of Persia style wall-running will actually be necessary in order to give the player energy boosts to keep them alive. Likewise, the combat are designed to encourage perpetual movement. The team says the fighting sequences are heavily inspired by Capoeira (the ‘Dance of War’,) a flowing martial arts/dancing hybrid that originated in Brazil.
