Tears Of The Kingdom Trilby Valley Flame Gleeok Sky Gliding

Where to find the Trilby Valley Gleeok in Tears of the Kingdom

An elusive target.

If you fancy yourself a completionist, you will probably want to find and defeat every Gleeok that exists in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s enormous world. Doing this will result in you earning the Gleeok Monster Medal, which has no gameplay function, but at least serves as a neat little acknowledgment of your achievement. One of the Gleeoks required to obtain this medal, though, is remarkably well-hidden, even more so than the King Gleeoks in both the sky islands and the Gleeok Den in the Depths. This Gleeok makes its home in Trilby Valley in the Eldin region, and this Tears of the Kingdom guide will reveal where you can encounter it.

Locating the Trilby Valley Gleeok

You can find Trilby Valley south of Lake Ferona, which itself lies south of Death Mountain. However, if you go there and look around, you likely won’t find the Gleeok no matter how hard you search. That’s because the Gleeok, specifically a Flame Gleeok, isn’t at ground level. Rather, it flies way, way high up in the sky, far away from even the closest sky islands.

If you head to the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower, you can launch up to the South Eldin Sky Archipelago and glide south from there. By moving toward Trilby Valley, you should eventually spot the fiery heads of the Flame Gleeok way out in the distance. Alternatively, you can construct an air bike or a similar contraption and fly directly up to the Flame Gleeok from ground level.

To tackle this Gleeok, make sure to bring a decently powerful bow, some ice fruits or other ice-related items to fuse to your arrows, and plenty of stamina. Since it’s so high up in the air, you will want to use these resources to knock out all three of its heads in one go. Otherwise, you will have to fly back up and start over. Once you manage to do it, though, you get to see the Gleeok plummet all the way down to Trilby Valley, which makes for one of the coolest spectacles that Tears of the Kingdom has to offer. The rest of the fight plays out like normal, so if you already defeated a Flame Gleeok before, the same strategies will work here.
