Total War fans will finally get a closer look at Total War: Warhammer III next week. Creative Assembly launched a teaser video on Twitter today advertising a gameplay video on May 13. There’s no release date for Warhammer‘s biggest installment yet, but it’s expected to arrive in 2021.
According to the tweet, on May 13 at 9AM PT/5 PM BST, Creative Assembly will release a Total War: Warhammer III “gameplay reveal” as well as a “brand new trailer.” The attached teaser video showed scenes of an intense battle, an aurora borealis, and a massive demon. The short clip also featured esports host Frankie Ward, who will host the premiere on Thursday. Given that we’re almost halfway through 2021, it seems likely that the cinematic trailer will include an official Total War: Warhammer III release date.
Shortly after Creative Assembly shared the teaser, alleged game details leaked online. The original 4Chan post got removed very quickly, but a Reddit user compiled the information in a new thread. The leak included gameplay details and images, which may provide some context to the scene’s in today’s teaser. According to the leak, the battle in the video was called the “Assault on the Brass Citadel.”
“It was a battle with Kislev vs. Khorne Daemons,” the leak read.
Creative Assembly did not confirm any information from the leak. Fans will just have to wait until next Thursday to find out.

What we know so far
Creative Assembly announced Total War: Warhammer III back in February. So far, we know that the game’s roster will include the Daemons of Chaos. Additionally, there will be the ice kingdom of Kislev and the nation Grand Cathay. The final installment to the Warhammer trilogy will see players head into the Realm of Chaos, where they can either take down the demons for good or take control of them. From the gameplay reveal teaser alone, Total War: Warhammer III already looks like an epic conclusion.
