Total War: Warhammer 2 third ritual clue reveals more Skaven evidence

This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

The third stage of Creative Assembly’s ritual-based reveal for Total War: Warhammer 2 has appeared today. Unsurprisingly, it continues to point directly at the Skaven.

In the latest clue, which takes the form of a letter from an Imperial Witch Hunter, there’s further talk of village populations going missing and a man who’s raving about the colour green (warpstone). The word you need for the next bit of the ritual is pretty clearly indicated in the letter itself.

Pop that into the page, and your Total War access account (if you have one) will get a new piece of concept art, shown below, showing a rat-like figure in an awfully green cavern. No major prizes for guessing what that’s supposed to tell you.

There are going to be eight unlockable items from this ritual puzzle, which means five more to come. Hopefully the information will move on a bit from “this is probably the Skaven reveal … okay, it absolutely is the Skaven reveal” to more concrete things like gameplay trailers or an army roster. Otherwise it’s going to feel rather dragged out.

If you missed it earlier in the month, I took a guess at what the Total War: Warhammer 2 Skaven roster might look like. You can read that here.
