Total War: Warhammer 2 Steam Workshop mods now available

As previously promised, the Steam Workshop for Total War: Warhammer 2 has been made available today. It’s off to a pretty rapid start, with (at the time of writing) 142 mods already listed for use.

Some popular pragmatic efforts from the first Total War: Warhammer are back for the sequel. If you want greater control over the battle camera (either for screenshot purposes, or just to get a better tactical overview), then kam2150’s ‘Better Camera Mod‘ has you sorted. Note that it’ll only work in multiplayer if the other player also uses it.

Total War: Warhammer 2 also welcomes the return of Dresden’s ‘Home Region Movement Bonus‘ mod. That does what the title suggests, and gives your own troops additional movement within your own areas of control. The one linked gives a 10% boost, there’s also a 25% boost option (linked within the 10% mod post, if you want that one).

An unofficial method of unlocking some of the Total War: Warhammer factions for custom battles in Warhammer 2 is available as well. Cataph is the author here. DLC-based factions like Beastmen and Wood Elves will not be unlocked by this mod, as Creative Assembly frown on that sort of thing.

Another mod people may wish to consider for Warhammer 2 is Unnamed_Shadow’s ‘No Extra Upkeep‘. This removes the percentage upkeep penalty that accrues as your recruit more and more armies; an awkward additional problem on higher difficulties. It removes it entirely, so if you want a more incremental solution you’ll have to hold on until someone makes that.
