Square Enix’s corporate domain registrar has locked down a couple of Tomb Raider related urls. Corporate clue-sniffer superannuation was the man to spot these, pointing on twitter towards a pair of registrations for Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris and the somewhat rubbish sounding Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Sorry Square, the videogame prefix “Rise of” hasn’t yet recovered from Rise of the Robots.
The very same superannuation speculates that “one of these” could be an E3 reveal for Crystal Dynamics. If that’s the case, it’ll be Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, because that follows the same naming conventions as their previous title, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.
It’s possible that the other one might be a follow-up to last year’s Tomb Raider, although there’s nothing yet to really confirm or deny that. Nor any sign such a game might be at E3.
