Publisher EA and developer Respawn Entertainment announced and revealed that across the original Titanfall (launched in March 2014) and Titanfall 2 (launched in October 2016) the series has seen 20 million players, meaning 20 million different accounts have at least hit the title’s main menu. Additionally, they also revealed the 6th free DLC drop called The War Games.
Titanfall 2 has still one million monthly active players and the developers hope that on June 27th, the 6th free DLC will push these numbers even more. War Games will add two new maps, one which is a Livefire map, called Traffic and it is described as a weathered test site where pilot positioning is pitted against mobility across two thoroughfares.
The other map is simply called War games and you can read the official description below:
War Games highlights the civilian shops, tall buildings for window-to-window fighting, and city streets for Titan combat from the Battle of Angel City, and the large, open tank garage facilities for hand-to-hand Pilot combat from the Battle of Airbase Sierra. The outskirts of the map feature a clean, VR style perfect for Titan duels, while Pilots are often found running along the bright, interconnected wallrunning routes.
Titanfall 2 is available on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One and the game will support Xbox One X, meaning 4K resolution as well as support for dynamic super scaling.
