In a recent Forbes Article, Jesse Stern, lead writer for Titanfall 2, revealed that the game will feature a single player campaign, which was not present in 2014’s Titanfall.Â
Stern commented on the story of the original Titanfall saying:
One of the shortcomings of the first game was we just did not have the mechanism to tell everyone ‘Here’s who you are, here’s where you are and who’s around you.’ We knew all the answers, we just could not deliver it.
Also in the interview, Stern revealed that a TV show spinoff for Titanfall is in the works from Lionsgate TV. Although not much has been revealed, Stern did allude that the series would be costly for the company due to the futuristic source material.
Stern worked on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 before leaving Infinity Ward and writing for Battlefield 4 and Titanfall. Titanfall 2 has no form release date, but is said to be released between April 1, 2016- March 31, 2017, a large enough gap to still leave plenty of speculation on when we will be able to delve into the game. Unlike the 2014 predecessor, the game is talked to be a multi-platform release.
