This week’s Rocksmith 2014 DLC fell in love with a girl

It weirds me out slightly that Jack White looks exactly like a guy I used to know. I mean, the face and hair and everything is a 100% match.

A seven nation army couldn’t hold back The White Stripes’ Rocksmith 2014 DLC.

This week’s Rocksmith 2014 DLC offers you five songs from The White Stripes: Fell in Love With a Girl, The Hardest Button to Button, You Don’t Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You’re Told), Blue Orchid, and Seven Nation Army. From what I can gather, only three of those (Fell in Love With a Girl, The Hardest Button to Button, and Seven Nation Army) are playable on bass, so bassists like myself should probably bear that in mind before making a purchasing decision.

Actually, bassists like myself should probably stop playing Rocksmith 2014 because we’re embarrassing ourselves, but SHUT UP STEVE. I’M HAVING FUN. Good bassists might want to consider that before buying all five songs, though.

Right now, only three of these appear to be on Steam, and the five-song pack hasn’t turned up yet either. Also, Steam’s description for Blue Orchid claims it’s playable on bass, but I’m pretty sure that’s wrong. A part of me wonders if this pseudo-delay is something to do with the untimely death of Jack White’s keyboardist, which was reported right around the time this DLC release began, but…

Well. Either way, you can have a look at the trailer below; as you might expect, it contains segments of five songs by The White Stripes being played on a guitar.
