This week’s releases (30/09/11)

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

Fifa 12, Res Evil, Child of Eden, Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection.
Footy fans get your team shirts on, your vuvuzela’s out (I hate vuvuzela’s) and your girlfriends locked away because this week sees the release of Fifa 12 in Europe (30 Sep) and N. America (27 Sep). Despite, Gears of War 3’s spectacular performance in getting to the top spot in the charts this week, surely the latest release of the digitalised beautiful game will come in at the league’s top spot?
If it does it will be a success will earned, our review of Fifa 12 awarding it a very impressive 9/10 and describing it as a game that “redefines what we expect from a football sim.”
It seems that publishers are not all that keen to go head-to-head with Fifa, the week’s other boxed releases consisting largely of re-releases, ports or HD upgrades. That being said, PS3-exclusive ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection is surely worth a look.
Interesting releases this week include:
