Nobody could argue that Halo games don’t look good. Not only do they run on a highly capable game engine but also they have a fantastic artistic direction which really brings out the looks and makes you realize your playing a Halo game.
But what if Halo 4 was being developed on one of the best game engines available today? Well we get to find out.
Luckily a DICE artist who is working on Battlefield 3 has put together the interior or a Halo ship using Crytek’s CryEngine 3. Why he chose CryEngine 3 as opposed to Frostbite 2.0 baffles me, but maybe he wanted to stretch his muscles on another dev kit for a change.
Regardless it looks fantastic, and although Halo 4 is not going to be looking quite this stunning when it releases, it would be fair to say that this would be a good idea of what we could expect a Halo 5 to look like if the franchise resurfaces for the next generation of consoles too.
