The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt trailer shows us Ciri in action

This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information

Today marks the launch of the 7,436th trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, or at least it feels like it.

This two-minute trailer, titled Rage & Steel, is basically two minutes of Geralt cutting people up. No dialogue, no plot, no story: just jump cuts of Geralt performing… well, jump cuts. And dash cuts. And standing cuts. And setting people on fire with magic or throwing bombs at them.

There is one surprise, though, which is the surprise child herself. The last 20 seconds of the video instead have Ciri cutting people up in her own inimitable way, and that pretty much made the entire video worthwhile for me. More Ciri, please.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is due out on 19 May. I’m expecting at least one more trailer before then, and probably more; we’ve yet to see a launch trailer, after all.
