CD Projekt has officially announced the sequel to their action RPG.The first game surprised many gamers with its quality and the sequel TheWitcher 2: Assassins of King has been built from the ground up with all new technologydriving the game. CD Projekt state that the new game will be “gripping, maturesand features a challenging non-linear plot”. Atari will be publishing thegame in North America and a western European publisher is still to beannounced.Hints that a sequel was in works surfaced in a leaked video thatwas released on Youtube last November.”I am really glad that we can officially present what we’ve been working onfor the past two-and-a-half years.” said Adam Kici?ski, CEO of CD ProjektRED studio. “We learned a lot during The Witcher’s development process, and weare using all of that knowledge to ensure the sequel is one of the best RPGspeople have ever played. We’ve concentrated on improving the most successfulparts of the Witcher, and I strongly believe that The Witcher 2 will be lovedboth by fans of the original and newcomers. We know that we aimed very highwhile producing The WItcher 1. Now we are aiming even higher with The Witcher2: Assassins of Kings.”
