The Week That Was… (ending 29 Aug)

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

Deus Ex, Borderlands 2, Driver: San Fran, Steam refunds and new Halo details.
With the releases of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Driver: San Francisco, it’s clear that the run-up to Christmas is underway for the industry’s big publishers. Accompanying our reviews for both of those AAA titles are our verdicts on Street Fighter III: Third Street Online Edition, Star Ruler and Toy Soldiers: Cold War.
(PS. Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a bit good.)
This week also saw us breaking down the wealth of game-specific info we acquired from Gamescom last week – previews for End of Nations, Lollipop Chainsaw, Borderlands 2, Fifa Street and Torchlight 2 join our interview with Epic Games president Mike Capps. Previews coverage from Gamescom will continue for another couple of weeks yet so continue to check back for our take on the show’s finest offerings (and some not so fine).
Big news of the week includes Steam refunds for From Dust purchasers, a variety of Halo info, same sex marriages in Skyrim and solid release dates for both Twisted Metal and the final piece of DLC for Fallout: New Vegas.
