Currently in Early Access, The Solus Project drops players onto an alien planet as mankind searches for a new home. The game is a survival experience, and although the planet was thought to be uninhabited, there are strange things afoot as you venture further from your ship’s crash site.

The second part of the story has just gone live and adds a further three to five hours of gameplay with a large new island and a huge new cave system to explore. New secrets and items also are waiting to be discovered.

We’ve been playing The Solus Project recently and a full preview is coming very soon. We can confirm that this is one game everyone should take a look at, it’s quite stunning and it makes you feel quite vulnerable as you explore the new alien world. It all plays out in dfirst person and the devs have created a very intuitive crafting and inventory system. The game also has VR support which is something we’ll be taking a look at this week as part of our preview.

A new trailer for the second part of the story has now been released.
