The Overwatch Beta Is Going on Hiatus, Returns on January

This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

The Beta of Overwatch is expected to shut down at 9 AM PST on December 10 and will return at some point on January 2016. It’s important to mention that no new players will be able to participate on January, which means that the focus stays on people who are already playing the beta.

The Beta Forums will also close in December, but they will stay for 8 additional days open (December 18th). Blizzard’s upcoming team-based FPS Overwatch will see its final release in the spring of 2016 and since last October there have been many gamers who took place in its Beta testing.

The developers need obviously some extra time in order to evaluate problems and various issues that have been reported by players and they have also to consider their suggestions about important parts of the game.

For the time being, the only Beta available for the much anticipated title is available for PC users only.
