Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone has had its fair share of bugs and glitches. On August 13, Infinity Ward tweeted that it was fast tracking a fix for a corruption bug. In the Call of Duty community, it has been branded as the demon gun glitch. The Warzone gun glitch changed the look of weapon textures, which became a huge problem. On your screen, your weapon turns into a big black spiky blob. However, despite recent attempts to fix the glitch, it appears that the corruption bug has returned to ruin Verdansk.
We're currently fast-tracking a fix to address the recent graphical corruption bugs some may be seeing on weapons and around the map in Warzone. We are targeting to release this fix as soon as possible and will provide more details as they become available.

The glitch made enemies difficult to spot and often ruined the gameplay. The glitch first became infamous a few weeks ago when players were reporting that it caused them to die. This is due to players not being able to aim their weapons properly, or even see their screens properly. On the other side, if you encountered an enemy that was hit with the glitch, it made them extremely difficult to kill. The glitch did not only happen in Verdansk, but also in the gulag, putting players at a disadvantage.
Will the Warzone gun glitch ever be gone for good?
Thankfully, the glitch was fixed, but apparently not for long. Many players have since reported that it has happened to them multiple times in a single game. Infinity Ward has yet to comment on the return of the demon gun glitch. It will be interesting to see if Infinity Ward are able to patch the corruption bug once again.
Call of Duty: Warzone players are hopeful that it will be fixed for a final time. Until then, players will have to hope that they do not encounter it in a match. Also, the glitch could prove problematic for players who are hoping to catch the action in Verdansk when Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be revealed on August 26.
