The First Descendant Ultimate Descendant farming guide: Best Amorphous Materials, bosses, and missions

Are you ready to grind, Descendant?

Ultimate Descendants stand head and shoulders above their regular counterparts, so it makes sense that they are much harder to acquire. If you want the best, let me show you everything in our The First Descendant Ultimate Descendant farming guide where I’ll show you all unlock requirements, locations, bosses, and Amorphous Materials.

What is an Ultimate Descendant in the First Descendant?

Ultimate Descendants are more powerful versions of regular Descendants. While their gameplay remains the same, Ultimates usually boast better base stats.

Some Ultimate Descendant skills are also slightly different from those of their regular counterparts. Bunny’s Lightning Emission, for example, emits a circle of lightning as she runs around. Ultimate Bunny’s Lightning Emission has no circle and targets nearby enemies instead.

Finally, some rare mods are exclusive to Ultimate Descendants. These upgraded characters are similar to Prime Warframes in Warframe although a little stronger than in that title.

How to get every Ultimate Descendant in The First Descendant

We will tackle every Ultimate Descendant in this guide, but let me show you how to build them as the process is the same for everyone.

Each Descendant can be built with Anais at the Albion. All Descendants require the same four pieces:

  • Enhanced Cells
  • Stabilizer
  • Spiral Catalyst
  • Code

The Enhanced Cells, Stabilizer, and Spiral Catalyst each require four resources. Two are easy to obtain from items and munitions boxes in the areas listed below. The rarest of those resources is usually the Blueprint, which is locked behind Amorphous Materials.

Some Amorphous Materials have a low percentage chance of becoming a Blueprint when you open them. Amorphous Materials are tied to specific activities, like defeating Collosi.

I know how complicated this sounds, but I will explain everything in-depth for each Ultimate Descendant. The prerequisites for this guide are you must beat the campaign and unlock Hard Mode.

Sharen is worth getting for end-game activities – Screenshot: PC Invasion

I want this guide to be accessible, so Sharen is mandatory when Ultimate hunting. Sharen can go invisible with her Active Camouflage ability and clear Strategic Outposts undetected. You can get rarer Amorphous Materials this way, and we will use those to obtain Ultimate parts more easily.

How to farm Ultimate Bunny in The First Descendant

Screenshot: PC Invasion

Ultimate Bunny is one of the poster girls of The First Descendant. She’s also one of the best DPS characters in the game! In short, you want her, so here’s everything you need, and I’ll explain the specifics afterward.

Ultimate Bunny Enhanced Cells

Encrypted Neural Circuits

Head to Echo Swamp (normal): Misty Woods, and start the Hazy Swamp mission. The final two enemies that spawn both drop the Encrypted Neural Circuits. You earn 3-6 circuits each run and can complete the mission in just over a minute.

Enhanced Cells Blueprint

There are two ways to get the Enhanced Cells Blueprint. You can farm The Forgottense Sterile Land Interception mission as you’re guaranteed to get Amorphous Material 009 from there. The mission takes under five minutes, and you can open the Material with the Stunning Beauty Collosi with a 3% drop rate.

If you have Sharen, I recommend Hagios (hard): Forward Base: Vulgus Strategic Outpost. Amorphous Material Pattern AA 113 can drop here and has a 10% drop rate for the Ultimate Bunny Enhanced Cells. You can open the material at Hagios (hard): Fractured Monolith: Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor.

Ultimate Bunny Stabilizer

Specialized Biometal

I recommend Hagios (hard): Forward Base: Vulgus Strategic Outpost for the Specialized Biometal. This is the same location as Amorphous Material Pattern AA 113 and drops from the boss.

Stabilizer Blueprint

Head to White-night Gulch (hard): The Mountaintops: Vulgus Strategic Outpost for the Stabilizer Blueprint. You have a 25% chance of getting Amorphous Material 099 which has a 10% chance for the drop. You can open 099 at White-night Gulch (Hard): The Mountaintops: Void Reactor.

Ultimate Bunny Spiral Catalyst

Pure Energy Residue

You can snag Pure Energy Residue from Encrypted Vaults scattered across the Fortress map.

Spiral Catalyst Blueprint

The best way to get the Blueprint is by running The Shelter Mission on Vespers (normal). You’re guaranteed an Amorphous Material 017 for each completion. The Material has a lousy drop rate of 3%, but you can quickly open it by defeating the normal Executioner Collosi.

Ultimate Bunny Code

The Bunny Code is a hassle to obtain. First, you need Amorphous Material 082 which you can get from Echo Swamp (Hard): Derelict Covert: Vulgus Strategic Outpost. The Material has a 6% chance to drop the Code.

You can open the Amorphous Material by beating the Void Fusion Reactor Boss at the same location. You need 39 Inorganic Void shards and 6 Organic Void Shards to spawn the boss. Both materials can be earned at the Void Fragment nearby.

How to farm Ultimate Ajax in The First Descendant

Screenshot: PC Invasion

You can complete some gnarly feats with Ajax, so let me show you everything you need to acquire him. Sadly, if you’re wondering why you don’t see many Ultimate Ajax running around, you’re about to find out why.

Ultimate PartMaterials

Ultimate Ajax Enhanced Cells

Balanced Plasma Battery

You can get the Batteries at several locations, but Fortress (normal): Heart of the Fortress is the best place.

There’s an enemy that drops the item mid-mission. Once you’ve beaten it, return to Albion through the Pause Menu and repeat.

Enhanced Cells Blueprint

Amorphous Material 121 has a respectable 10% drop rate for the Blueprint. You can get it from Fortress (hard): Converter Facility: Vulgus Strategic Outpost.

Open the Material at Fortress (hard): Fallen Ark: Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor. You need 34 Monomer Void Shards and 11 Inorganic Void Shards per go.

Ultimate Ajax Stabilizer

Anode Ion Particle

You can tackle a quick and easy mission to farm Anode Ion Particles. Go to Hagios (normal): Forward Base and play the Broadband Fleet Beacon mission. Several enemies can drop the parts.

Stabilizer Blueprint

Staying on Hagios, you can get Amorphous Material 112 from Hagios (hard): Forward Base: Vulgus Strategic Outpost. The Blueprint is the rarest drop from the material at only 6%

Open the Material at Hagios (hard): Fractured Monolith: Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor. The Reactor costs 36 Inorganic Void Shards and 9 Polymer Void Shards per go.

Ultimate Ajax Spiral Catalyst

Fusion Plasma Battery

Buckle in for a grind as the drop rate is pretty lousy. You can get Batteries from Sterile Land (hard): Rockfall: Vulgus Strategic Outpost. The boss can drop the item and although the mission is fast, you may have to run it 50+ times to get the 91 you require.

Spiral Catalyst Blueprint

The Blueprint has a 6% drop rate in Amorphous Material 098 from White-night Gulch (hard): The Mountaintops: Vulgus Strategic Outpost.

The Blueprint can only be opened at White-night Gulch (hard): Mountaintops: Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor. Once you’ve obtained a stockpile of Amorphous Material 098, it costs 31 Inorganic Void Shards and 14 Polymer Void Shards to open them.

Ultimate Ajax Code

Unfortunately, the Code is locked away behind another particularly grueling farm. You can acquire the required Amorphous Material 088 from Agna Desert (hard): Vermilion Waste: Vulgus Strategic Outpost.

Open the Material at Agna Desert (hard): Vermilion Waste: Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor. You need 40 Organic Void Shards and 5 Inorganic Void Shards per go. You’re dealing with a 6% drop rate again, so expect this to take a while.

How to farm Ultimate Valby in The First Descendant

The First Descendant Ultimate Descendant farming guide: Best Amorphous Materials, bosses, and Missions

Ultimate Valby is arguably the easiest Ultimate Descendant to farm. Here’s everything you need, and I’ll go over the more difficult parts:

Ultimate PartMaterials
Ultimate Valby Enhanced CellsRepton x949 (Kingston)
Compound Coating Material x538 (Echo Swamp)
Conductive Metal Foil x75
Ultimate Valby Enhanced Cells Blueprint x1
Ultimate Valby StabilizerSilicon x969 (Echo Swamp)

Ultimate Valby Spiral CatalystMonad Shard x554 (Kingston)
Semi-permanent Plasma x652 (Vespers)
Macromolecule Biogel x242
Ultimate Valby Spiral Catalyst Blueprint x1
Ultimate Valby CodeN/A

Ultimate Valby Enhanced Cells

Conductive Metal Foil

Conductive Metal Foil can be gathered from Encrypted Vaults across Vespers on any difficulty. While not essential, Enzo is the “go-to” Descendant for Vaults, as he makes unlocking them easier.

Enhanced Cells Blueprint

The Blueprint is easy to obtain from Amorphous Material AA 044. You can earn this with a 100% drop rate from Hagios (normal): Starfall Road: Old Mystery.

The material has a 6% drop rate and is opened by defeating the normal Swamp Walker Colossi.

Ultimate Valby Stabilizer

Heat Plasma Batteries

You can collect Heat Plasma Batteries from enemies at the Old Mystery or the Haven on Hagios. Both missions are about 5 minutes long, so take your pick.

Stabilizer Blueprint

The Blueprint drops from Amorphous Material AA 030, which you get every time you beat the Caligo Ossuary mission on Agna Desert (normal). You can open it by defeating the normal Devourer Collosi at a 6% drop rate.

Ultimate Valby Spiral Catalyst

Macromolecule Biogel

You can quickly amass a huge supply of Macromolecule Biogel by beating Echo Swamp (normal/hard): Derelict Covert: Vulgus Strategic Outpost.

Catalyst Blueprint

Amorphous Material AA 023 can be earned each time you complete Echo Swamp (normal): Derelict Covert: The Chapel. You can open the material with the normal Dead Bride Colossi with a 6% drop rate.

Ultimate Valby Code

The Code is available from Amorphous Material AA 110. There’s a 25% chance to get it from Hagios (hard): The Corrupted Zone: Vulgus Strategic Outpost.

You can open the Material at Hagios (hard): The Corrupted Zone: Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor. It costs 35 Organic Void Shards and 10 Inorganic Void Shards per go at a 6% drop rate.

How to farm Ultimate Viessa in The Last Descendant

The First Descendant Ultimate Descendant farming guide: Best Amorphous Materials, bosses, and Missions
Screenshot: PC Invasion

Ultimate Viessa is locked behind a nightmare grind, and it’s likely the reason you rarely see her in-game. The big issue is Hard Mode Collosi kills are mandatory, and there’s no way around it.

If you’re already comfortable with endgame content, here are all of her components, and we’ll check out the rare parts after.

Ultimate PartMaterials
Ultimate Viessa Enhanced CellsFlectorite x656 (White-night Gulch)
Hellion x682 (Fortress)
Insulated Metallic Foil x76
Ultimate Viessa Enhanced Cells Blueprint x1
Ultimate Viessa StabilizerCompound Coating Material x538 (Echo Swamp)

Artificial Biometal x79
Ultimate Viessa Stabilizer Blueprint x1
Ultimate Viessa Spiral CatalystSuperfluid x1285 (Sterile Land)
Shape Memory Alloy x1039 (Hagios)
Organic Biogel x59
Ultimate Viessa Spiral Catalyst Blueprint x1
Ultimate Viessa CodeN/A

Ultimate Viessa Enhanced Cells

Insulated Metallic Foil

I have a truckload of this from Kingston (normal): Magister Lab for Amorphous Material 002. This mission is a breeze, and you’ll quickly stockpile the Foil within a few runs.

Enhanced Cells Blueprint

None of the options are attractive for the Blueprint, so I recommend Amorphous Material 056 from Kingston (hard): Magisters Lab. The mission is short, and you’ll get the material every time.

You can only open the Material with the Hard Mode Executioner Collosi at a 6% drop rate. This grind sucks, but it’s easier than the Hard Mode Pyromaniac and Frost Walker.

Ultimate Viessa Stabilizer

Artificial Biometal

The easiest place to farm Artificial Biometal is Sterile Land (normal): Rockfall: Anticipated Ambush Point. The mission takes roughly 40 seconds, and you get 3-5 Biometal for beating the boss.

Stabilizer Blueprint

I usually recommend Amorphous Materials with the highest odds, but Amorphous Material 091 is so obnoxious to obtain, I don’t advise it for the Stabilizer Blueprint.

Instead, go for Amorphous Material 043 from Hagios (normal): The Corrupted Zone: The Haven.

The mission has a 100% drop rate for the Material, and you can open it against the common Swamp Walker Collosi. The Blueprint drop rate is only 3%, but far easier than the alternative.

Ultimate Viessa Spiral Catalyst

Organic Biogel

You can get a ton of Biogel by completing Kingston (normal): Grand Square: Kingston Surveillance Radar. The mission is less than 2 minutes long and gives at least 10 on completion.

Spiral Catalyst Blueprint

The best place to acquire the Blueprint is with Amorphous Material 118 from Fortress (hard): Frozen Valley: Vulgus Strategic Outpost.

Once you gather a few Amorphous Materials, head to Fortress (hard): Frozen Valley: Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor to open them. You need 37 Polymer and 8 Organic Void Shards per go, and the Material has a 6% chance of becoming the Blueprint.

Ultimate Viessa Code

The Hard Mode option for this part is exceptionally difficult, so I advise hitting the easier content with the lower drop rate for speed.

You can obtain Amorphous Material 038 from White-night Gulch (normal): Block Kuiper Mining. This activity is always populated, as it’s a great place to level up characters.

Open your Materials with the normal Executioner Collosi. The drop rate is only 3% but the boss will go down within seconds.

How to farm Ultimate Lepic in The First Descendant

The First Descendant Ultimate Descendant farming guide: Best Amorphous Materials, bosses, and Missions
Screenshot: PC Invasion

Lepic is one of the easiest Ultimate Descendants to obtain. I’ll recommend a few Hard mode farms for the improved odds, but you can technically get Ultimate Lepic from normal mode activities.

Ultimate PartMaterials
Ultimate Lepic Enhanced CellsSemi-permanent Plasma x652 (Vespers)
Flectorite x656 (White-night Gulch)
Divided Plasma Battery x50
Ultimate Lepic Enhanced Cells Blueprint x1
Ultimate Lepic StabilizerMonad Shard x554 (Kingston)

Ultimate Lepic Stabilizer Blueprint x1
Ultimate Lepic Spiral CatalystMetal Accelerant x1168 (Sterile Land)
Nanopolymers x817 (Agna Desert)
Data Processing Neural Circuit x107
Ultimate Lepic Spiral Catalyst Blueprint x1
Ultimate Lepic CodeN/A

Ultimate Lepic Enhanced Cells

Divided Plasma Battery

The best place to farm Divided Plasma Batteries is Agna Desert (normal): The Asylum mission. The mob that drops the Batteries is about 40 seconds in. Once you defeat the enemy, return to the Albion and repeat.

Just make sure you do this in a private match, so you don’t screw over your squad mates.

Enhanced Cells Blueprint

We’re kicking off our Lepic Blueprint grind at Vespers (hard): Moonlight Lake: Vulgus Strategic Outpost. We’re after Amorphous Material 074 as it has an incredible 32% chance of becoming what we need.

You can open the Material at Vespers (hard): Moonlight Lake: Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor.

Ultimate Lepic Stabilizer

Crystal Biogel

The fastest place I’ve found for Crystal Biogel is White-night Gulch (normal): Shipment Base: Vulgus Strategic Outpost. You can clear the base out in seconds, and get roughly 4 per completion.

Stabilizer Blueprint

We’re after Amorphous Material 001 for the Stabilizer Blueprint, and you can get it from Kingston (normal): Fallen Theater: Vulgus Strategic Outpost.

You can open the Material at Kingston (normal): Kingston Grand Square: Void Fusion Reactor with a 3% drop rate. The low rate is pretty miserable, but the Reactor only costs 12 Inorganic and 3 Organic Void Shards to use.

Ultimate Lepic Spiral Catalyst

Data Processing Neural Circuit

You can quickly amass a ton of Neural Circuits at Vespers (normal): The Lumberyard: Frontline Base mission. You can blast through the task in under 2 minutes and get at least 5 per clear.

Spiral Catalyst Blueprint

We avoid the Hard mode bosses for this one and target Amorphous Material 006 from Sterile Land (normal): Rockfall: Vulgus Strategic Outpost.

You can open your Materials at Sterile Land (normal): Rockfall: Void Fusion Reactor. We have a 6% drop rate costing 12 Monomer and 3 Polymer Void Shards per use.

Ultimate Lepic Code

Finally, you can get the Ultimate Lepic Code from Sterile Land (hard): Rockfall: Vulgus Strategic Outpost for a shot at Amorphous Material 061.

The mission is pretty fast, and only takes a minute to reset between attempts.

You can open the materials at Sterile Land (hard): Rockfall: Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor. 38 Monomer and 7 Polymer Void Shards are required per go, and you have a 10% chance of acquiring the code.

How to farm Ultimate Gley in The First Descendant

The First Descendant Ultimate Descendant farming guide: Best Amorphous Materials, bosses, and Missions
Screenshot: PC Invasion

Last but not least, we have Gley, and I’ve saved her until the end because she’s arguably the toughest Ultimate Descendant to obtain. I’m still farming her myself, and this is a brutal grind! Here’s everything you need to know:

Ultimate PartMaterials
Ultimate Gley Enhanced CellsMetal Accelerant x1168 (Sterile Land)
Hardener x869 (Vespers)
Thermal Metallic Foil x58
Ultimate Gley Enhanced Cells Blueprint x1
Ultimate Gley StabilizerCarbon Crystal x1247 (Hagios)
Reverse Charging Coil x1023 (Fortress)
Cooling Metallic Foil x85
Ultimate Gley Stabilizer Blueprint x1
Ultimate Gley Spiral CatalystMonomolecular Extractor x1123 (Agna Desert)
Ceramic Composite x919 (White-night Gulch)
Common Carbon Activator x32
Ultimate Gley Spiral Catalyst Blueprint x1
Ultimate Gley CodeN/A

Ultimate Gley Enhanced Cells

Thermal Metallic Foil

The most reliable place to get Thermal Metallic Foil is Encrypted Storage containers and Vaults across Echo Swamp.

If you don’t want to use Vaults, check out Echo Swamp (normal): Misty Woods: Kuiper Transport Route. The first mob of enemies can drop the Foil. Defeat them, abort the mission from the Pause Menu, and repeat.

Enhanced Cells Blueprint

You can get Amorphous Material 060 from Sterile Land (hard): Rockfall: Vulgus Strategic Outpost. The Material has a 6% of becoming the Blueprint.

Head to Sterile Land (hard): Rockfall: Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor to open the material. The Reactor costs 38 Monomer and 7 Polymer Void Shards per attempt.

Ultimate Gley Stabilizer

Cooling Metallic Foil

The only location I’ve found Cooling Metallic Foil is Encrypted Vaults across White-night Gulch. Enzo is borderline essential for this material, which is why it’s so hard to obtain.

The Access Info page lists other locations for Cooling Metallic Foil, but it’s so rare, that it’s not worth going for, in my opinion.

Stabilizer Blueprint

The Stabilizer is locked behind another Reactor farm. This time, head to  Agna Desert (hard): Miragestone: Vulgus Strategic Outpost and farm Amorphous Material 092.

The material has a 6% drop rate for the Blueprint and can be opened at Agna Desert (hard): Miragestone: Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor. The Reactor is expensive at 39 Monomers and 6 Polymer Void Shards per use.

Ultimate Gley Spiral Catalyst

Common Carbon Activator

Start Vespers (normal): Lost Supply Depot: Sepulcher mission and play as normal until you defeat the first elite enemy. The target has a chance to drop Common Carbon Activators. Return to Albion via the Pause Menu and restart until you have enough.

Spiral Catalyst Blueprint

Run Vespers (hard): Lost Supply Depot: Vulgus Strategic Outpost to collect Amorphous Material 072.

You can open the Material at Vespers (hard): Lost Supply Depot: Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor with a 6% drop rate. The Reactor costs 12 Polymer and 3 Organic Void Shards to use.

Ultimate Gley Code

Ultimate Gley’s Code is locked behind a Hard Mode Collosi battle. The easiest is the Executioner, and you can farm the required Amorphous Material 058 from Kingston (hard): Slumber Valley.

The drop rate is pretty poor at only 6%, but this will hopefully be the last part you need to earn Ultimate Gley.

The grind for every Ultimate Descendant is long and arduous, and I strongly recommend taking regular breaks. Try not to burn out, as you can ruin the game for yourself if you push too hard!

We’ve covered a ton of Amorphous Materials in this guide, but many contain useful items that aren’t simply Ultimate Descandent parts.
