The first DLC pack for The Evil Within, The Assignment, is now out.

The Assignment places you in the role of Juli Kidman, the partner of the main game’s protagonist Sebastian Castellanos, and explores what she was up to during the events of The Evil Within. I would imagine it’s going to be rather heavy on spoilers for the main campaign so you’ll probably want to finish that before diving into The Assignment, but hey, that’s your call.

The Assignment features new enemies and new mysteries, as you learn more about Juli’s motivations and connections to the plot of The Evil Within. The concluding part of her adventures – The Consequence – will launch in spring, and will be followed by The Executioner, a final DLC pack letting you play as the villainous Keeper.

The Evil Within: The Assignment is out now, and costs £6.99. It’s also available as part of The Evil Within‘s £14.99 Season Pass, which will unlock all three bits of DLC as they launch.
