The Culling: New Game From Xaviant

The Culling: New Game from Xaviant

No, Xaviant studios are not working on a new game based on the (awful) horror movie The Culling, moreover we are talking about a game that reminds us of a bloody version of… The Hunger Games.

In The Culling, you are placed on a lonely island together with 15 other players and the only goal is to survive from these bloodthirsty hunters, or hunt everybody down and kill them (it’s a matter of perspective). There is an intriguing time limit of 20 minutes that will bring some extra pressure on players and that’s how long the matches will last.

During these short rounds, the players will have to look around the island, find different items and weapons, craft some helpful upgrades or traps that will help you out to kill the other “gladiators”.

Xaviant founder Michael McMain said the following about the upcoming title: “I asked a small, talented team to come up with their dream game and gave them the autonomy to build it, (…) The Culling is the result of that effort. It has been the highlight of my career!”

There is no word about the official release date of the final product, but keep in mind that The Culling is expected to release on PC via Steam Early Access on March 8, 2016. You should take a look at the official trailer below and tell us what you think about this “crazy” concept.
