The best weapons for every job in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Well-equipped.

The characters you meet in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth have numerous methods of inflicting violence, depending on their job and weapons. To help you get started busting heads, here is our guide outlining the best weapons for every job in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Recommended Videos

There are a total of 25 jobs available in the game. Not of them are available to every character. In particular, several jobs are exclusive to Kasuga or Kiryu. Those jobs utilize bare hands or Sujimon, rather than specialized weapons.

The remaining jobs let you purchase, find, or craft a variety of weapons so you can hit harder. Game menus rate the options from one to seven stars. The difference in damage dealt is often substantial. Some weapons also offer secondary attributes you may find useful. Below, we’ve listed the best weapon available for each relevant job, along with the crafting ingredients required.

Best weapon for the Hero job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Ultima Egesta

Weapon: Ultima Egesta

Components: Metal Bat, Ethereal Egesta x100

As a Hero, Kasuga can equip the True Legendary Hero’s Bat. It is extremely powerful. However, the Ultima Egesta has the same offensive stats. The difference in weapons comes down to elemental effects. The True Legendary Hero’s Bat increases electrical damage inflicted, whereas the Ultima Egesta may poison or blind a foe. In a battle that lasts several rounds, either of those afflictions make a big difference. Lightning damage, however, is relatively common among the various allies you might take with you into the game’s final conflicts.

Best weapon for the Cabbie job

Weapon: Full-Drive Custom Wrench

Components: Cabbie’s Wrench, Electric Crystal, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Shark Fin

The Cabbie job remains relevant throughout the campaign, thanks to the heavy Electric damage inflicted. The Full-Drive Custom Wrench has the chance to reduce an enemy’s resistance to the element. Additionally, attacks and skills may inflict paralysis. Complete Tomizawa’s Drink Link events to acquire the Cabbie’s Wrench. The other components are easy to find in dumpsters, and by making dungeon runs.

Best weapon for the Heiress job

Weapon: Royal Prima Choker

Components: Heiress’s Choker, Rainbow Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Shark Fin

You can’t get the best weapon for the Heiress job until very late in the game. You have to complete Chitose’s Drink Link events to secure the Heiress’s Choker. The last one of those events doesn’t unlock until right near the game’s very end. Still, you should make sure to do the work to get the Royal Prima Choker. It lets her make the most of any status ailments inflicted on enemies to deal more damage than usual. I love using her area attacks, including some of the ones she can learn from other jobs. This weapon just adds to the fun.

Best weapon for the Detective job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Beacon Of Maitreya

Weapon: Beacon of Maitreya

Components: Detective’s Baton, Rainbow Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Shark Fin

The Detective job offers strong defense, which makes Adachi an excellent tank. I’m not as impressed with his offensive skills, but the Beacon of Maitreya minimizes that weakness. If you get good at perfect guards, you’ll find the defensive move suddenly inflicting damage on the assailant. That feels great! First, though, you need to get to work on Adachi’s Drink Link events so you can acquire the Detective’s Baton.

Best weapon for the Homeless Guy job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Scepter Of Oblivion

Weapon: Scepter of Oblivion

Components: Homeless Guy’s Cane, Lava Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Shark Fin

I don’t find Nanba especially useful as a Homeless Guy, but you’ll improve his performance if you equip him with the Scepter of Oblivion. It improves damage when there are lots of foes, and also lowers the enemy’s resistance to Fire. Complete those Drink Link events as soon as you can to get the required Homeless Guy’s Cane, so you can make Nanba more useful in combat.

Best weapon for the Barmaid job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Illuminati Bag

Weapon: Illuminati Bag

Components: Barmaid’s Bag, Rainbow Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Shark Fin

By default, the Barmaid job doesn’t deal a lot of damage. With the Illuminati Bag, that changes. Her skills will cost more MP to use, but they also inflict more damage. To get the Barmaid’s Bag you’ll need to craft it, make sure to complete Saeko’s Drink Link events as early as the game permits.

Best weapon for the Assassin job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Valkyrie Needles

Weapon: Valkyrie Needles

Components: Assassin’s Needles, Rainbow Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Shark Fin

Charm is one of my favorite status ailments in the game, if I’m inflicting it on an enemy instead of finding myself on the receiving end. The Valkyrie Needles weapon makes it possible for an Assassin to charm foes, so I like it already just on that basis. It also deals hefty damage, which pairs well with area attacks. You do need to find Assassin’s Needles to serve as a base component, but those are easy to acquire by finishing Seonhee’s Drink Link events.

Best weapon for the Gangster job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Treasured Sword Of Heaven And Earth

Weapon: Treasured Sword of Heaven and Earth

Components: Gangster’s Saber, Rainbow Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Shark Fin

The Treasured Sword of Heaven and Earth is a terrific option for the Gangster job. It allows Zhao to attack and ignore resistances, keeping him relevant no matter who the foe is. You do need to complete his Drink Link events to acquire the required Gangster’s Saber component, but that’s easily enough done.

Best weapon for the Hitman job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Annihilation Claws

Weapon: Annihilation Claws

Components: Hitman’s Knuckle Dusters, Rainbow Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Shark Fin

With the Annihilation Claws equipped, the Hitman job allows Joongi to inflict more damage the more ailments are in play. It makes him good at cleaning up loose ends, after cohorts get foes good and sick. You’ll need to complete Joongi’s Drink Link events to acquire the Hitman’s Knuckle Dusters, a key component.

Best weapon for the Aquanaut job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Ocean Kings Board
Screenshot: PC Invasion

Weapon: Ocean King’s Board

Components: Aquanaut’s Board, Ice Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Shark Fin

To snag the Ocean King’s Board for your character working the Aquanaut job, you need to start with the Aquanaut’s Board. It’s fairly rare, but you should pick up more than one of them in your travels. Once you upgrade the board, you can attack harder while your HP is at its maximum. Also, attacks and skills lower your enemy’s resistance to Ice. I find the Aquanaut job most useful during the campaign’s middle portion, but if you want to bring a character with that job through the closing credits, this is the board to equip.

Best weapon for the Pyrodancer job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Dead Souls Axe
Screenshot: PC Invasion

Weapon: Dead Souls Axe

Components: Pyrodancer’s Axe, Rainbow Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Shark Fin

As a Pyrodancer, your character should equip the Dead Souls Axe as quickly as possible after taking on that job. The weapon improves attack as it defeats enemies, which makes it perfect for a battle against a group of mid-powered enemies. You do have to start with a Pyrodancer’s Axe, however, and it’s not easily obtained.

Best weapon for the Action Star job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Superstars Nunchaku
Screenshot: PC Invasion

Weapon: Superstar’s Nunchaku

Components: Master’s Nunchaku, Electric Crystal x20, Empty Cough Drop Tin

In my estimation, the best weapon for the Action Star job depends on the character you have assigned. I went with Tomizawa, who already uses electrical attacks. For that reason, the Superstar’s Nunchaku felt like a good complement, especially once I powered it up. The highest rated option is the Nightstone Nunchaku. It improves the strength of physical attacks, but at a cost: enemies inflict more damage. You also have to find the Action Star’s Nunchaku as a base component. I just didn’t see the value in going through all that trouble for a weapon that ads a significant weakness.

Best weapon for the Desperado job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Seventh Wolf
Screenshot: PC Invasion

Weapon: Seventh Wolf

Components: Desperado’s Revolver, Rainbow Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Squid Tentacles

The Seventh Wolf is a good option for the Desperado job, since it adds 30% to your crit rate for each ailment afflicting a target. That bonus can quickly turn into a lot of extra damage, especially with a proper brand added. You’ll need to find the Desperado’s Revolver, which you can acquire in exchange for 21,000 points at Open Air Shogi.

Best weapon for the Samurai job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Enchanted Demon Slayer
Screenshot: PC Invasion

Weapon: Enchanted Demon Slayer

Components: Samurai’s Katana, Rainbow Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Squid Tentacles

It’s easy to find defensive gear for a character working the Samurai job near the end of the story campaign. I got loads of armor in the Yokohama dungeon. That availability makes the job more tempting than it might be otherwise, but I find its attacking power rather limited outside a few moves. The Enchanted Demon Slayer makes up some of the difference, and it helps status ailments linger longer (good news if you have another party member who gets stronger when battling afflicted foes). You need the Samurai’s Katana as a crafting component, though. Getting it will require you to beat a tough opponent near Hamakita Park, in Ijincho.

Best weapon for the Host job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Prince Of Star Night

Weapon: Prince of Star Night

Components: Host’s Sparkling Wine, Rainbow Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Squid Tentacles

The Host job doesn’t hit hard with physical attacks, but magic is another matter. The Prince of Star Night enhances that magic as you defeat enemies, which can add up to a lot of damage in the end. You need to start with the Host’s Sparkling Wine component, acquired by defeating a boss lurking in the alley behind Kasuga’s apartment in Injincho.

Best weapon for the Breaker job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Master Soul Anklet
Screenshot: PC Invasion

Weapon: Master Soul Anklet

Components: Breaker’s Anklet, Rainbow Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Squid Tentacles

I haven’t played around with the Breaker job much compared to the other ones. If you find you like it, you’ll want to get a powerful weapon, and that means the Master Soul Anklet. When party members buff you, it restores MP. This can be very useful if you tend to rely on a lot of MP-consuming skills. You have to find the Breaker’s Anklet component, however, which means defeating a boss mob on Downtown St. in Hawaii.

Best weapon for the Chef job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Scorching Spatula
Screenshot: PC Invasion

Weapon: Scorching Spatula

Components: All-Purpose Spatula, Lava Crystal x20, Empty Cough Drop Tin

The Chef job uses the Fire element to fry foes. For that reason, I think the Scorching Spatula makes one of the best options available (despite being ranked at six stars instead of seven). Its attacks lower fire resistance, and brands can improve on that synergy even further. You’ll need to have an All-Purpose Spatula to use as a component to get started, though.

Best weapon for the Geodancer job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Electrip Maracas
Screenshot: PC Invasion

Weapon: Electrip Maracas

Components: Trippy Maracas, Electric Geode x30

The Geodancer job doesn’t particularly excite me, but some of the weapons can do some neat things. The Electrip Maracas, available around the middle of the campaign, are especially useful. They deal electric damage and may paralyze foes. You need to purchase some Trippy Maracas from Hau’oli Hula to use as a crafting component, but you’ll make back your investment in short order.

Best weapon for the Housekeeper job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Mop Of The Madonna
Screenshot: PC Invasion

Weapon: Mop of the Madonna

Components: Housekeeper’s Mop, Ice Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Shark Fin

I am partial to the Housekeeper job, which relies on watery attacks to clean up enemies. The Mop of Madonna increases damage based on enemy weaknesses, which can really pay dividends when a battle drags on a bit. You do need to find the Housekeeper’s Mop component in order to craft it, which waits near Carriage Highway in Ijincho. Still, it’s worth the trouble if you like watching your characters get violent with cleaning supplies.

Best weapon for the Kunoichi job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Cursed Dagger Of Glorious Death
Screenshot: PC Invasion

Weapon: Cursed Dagger of Glorious Death

Components: Kunoichi’s Sword, Rainbow Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Squid Tentacles

I like the skills associated with the Kunoichi job more than I like any of the weapons, but the Cursed Dagger of Glorious Death isn’t a terrible option. It buffs Agility, allowing your character to move around the battlefield in a hurry. You do need the Kunoichi’s Sword, but that is available to purchase for 70,000 points at the Sujimon Stadium.

Best weapon for the Idol job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Photon Symphony Microphone
Screenshot: PC Invasion

Weapon: Photon Symphony Microphone

Components: Idol’s Microphone, Rainbow Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Squid Tentacles

When you defeat the Angel of Megadeath boss in Kamurocho, you gain the Idol’s Microphone. You can use it as a crafting component to create the Photon Symphony Microphone, which is a good option for a character working the Host job. At the start of each turn, it may provide a Magic buff.

Best weapon for the Night Queen job

Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth Weapon Ulysses Butterfly Whip
Screenshot: PC Invasion

Weapon: Ulysses Butterfly Whip

Components: Night Queen’s Whip, Rainbow Crystal x15, Empty Cough Drop Tin, Squid Tentacles

The Night Queen job lets you lash a huge whip. Some of the weapons available for that job are pretty nice, especially the Ulysses Butterfly Whip. When you attack with it, there’s a chance you’ll instantly KO weaker enemies, allowing you to focus on priority targets. Defeating enemies also offers a boost to your critical rate. You can become quite dangerous in relatively short order.

Now that you know what weapons work best, make sure to collect them as early as you can. By the end of the game, you can often find high-level weapons randomly scattered around Hawaii and Yokohama. Shops also carry a selection of worthwhile options.

Most of the very best gear is only available at Gearworks. I suggest that you save your precious resources. You can replace money fairly quickly by the game’s later areas, but crafting components tend to take more time to gather. Only invest significant resources to craft and improve those weapons you’re committed to using through the campaign’s end. If you want to know where to buy the best weapons in Infinite Wealth, we’ve got a guide for that.
