The best way to clear Nests in Helldivers 2

You’re going to be clearing nests in Helldivers 2, a whole lot of nests. Completing these extra side missions doesn’t just result in a better score in the game but also contributes to making the missions easier. I have found a way to quickly and efficiently clear the nests, cutting the time needed in half.

How to clear out nests quickly

The aim is to close up as many of the holes as possible. After, you need to kill the bugs around them. If you get distracted from the first task, the whole process can start to take a long time. So, the best approach is to get as close to the nests as possible by launching everything you can into the holes.

If you’re playing with a group, I would suggest all arming yourself with grenades and orbital strikes. Then crawl as close as you can without being seen. As soon as you’re spotted or are all within throwing distance of one of the holes, drop your charges in and take a large step back. If done properly, you should be able to close most of the nest up in one attack in Helldivers 2.

Communication is key in these moments. The timing of all your thrown attacks will help the incoming carnage not only close the nest holes but also kill most of the enemies. Stay stealthy, stay low, and hit the bugs with everything you have. Several times in Helldivers 2, me and my squad were able to close entire nests without ever having to fire a shot.

Clearing nests as a solo in Helldivers 2

This is always going to be a little harder than with a group. However, the same technique applies. Approach the nests as low as you can and call in your most direct Helldivers 2 stratagem. Use grenades for the other holes while the bugs try to regroup after the initial attack. If necessary, retreat and attack again from another angle.
