If you play Call of Duty: Warzone, it is highly likely that you are familiar with Modern Warfare 2019’s M4. The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War XM4 is not too dissimilar. In particular, the XM4 already has a high amount of control, fire rate, and damage. Since the integration between Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, it appears that players are favoring the XM4 over the M4. With the correct attachments, you can significantly improve some of the XM4’s best qualities.
First, using Agency Suppressor will keep your shots hidden from the mini map. This is a useful feature as it allows you to navigate around the map without alerting enemy players to your position. In addition, this attachment will increase the damage range of your weapon. Then, equipping the Bruiser Grip has been found to improve the vertical and horizontal recoil control of the XM4. Next, equipping the 13.5” Task Force Barrel boosts your weapon in many ways. Included is increased damage, effective damage range, and better bullet velocity.
Using an Optic on your XM4 such as the Visiontech 2X, will allow you to take advantage of your damage range. In terms of maximizing your ammunition, you should use the STANAG 60 Round Magazine. However, you may prefer to use the Salvo 60 Round Fast Magazine to get some extra reload speed. The only drawback to this is that you lose some of that all important aim down sight time.
The XM4 can be a good contender in Warzone‘s ever changing meta
As the XM4 is suited to long range gunfights, you should pair it with a weapon for close range combat. If you are a fan of submachine guns, the Bullfrog may be the option for you. On the other hand, if shotguns are more your specialty, the Gallo SA12 has proven its dominance in Verdansk and Rebirth Island.
