Vampire Survivors is a game all about collecting two things: Items and kills. Out of all the weapons available, it can be hard to choose the right one — this can be done by avoiding the worst.
All Bad Weapons in Vampire Survivors
Most of the following weapons would make decent secondary weapons for your characters, but they all truly suck as your main weapon in Vampire Survivors.
Garlic
Garlic is an alright weapon for the early game; however, it does not hold up beyond that. With a low range and low damage, it is not a viable weapon as soon as you start getting some replacements. It can be evolved into a great weapon, but the effort isn’t really worth it.
Fire Wand
Despite the potential of being a decent weapon, especially when paired with Arca, the Fire Wand is a terrible weapon to start off with. Not only does it shoot in random directions, but it has a long cooldown, putting you at a right disadvantage.
Axe
The Axe isn’t really an ideal weapon as it has a very slow fire rate and deals low damage. Due to its high arc, it is essentially useless for dealing with attacks from anywhere but above you. You’ll want to replace this one in no time.
Knife
The Knife in Vampire Survivors does have a decent fire rate; however, the damage is not good enough to justify any long-term use. It fires in one direction, the one you are facing, so you must look everywhere to kill any of the enemies, which is highly inconvenient.
Ebony Wings
Ebony Wings can be united with Peachone to create a fantastic weapon, but on its own, it’s trash. With a super slow fire rate, Ebony Wings will bombard enemies and follow you. The bird is slow itself, however, and it doesn’t shoot many projectiles to be deemed useful.

Peachone
Like Ebony Wings, Peachone is a flying bird that bombards the enemy and has a slow fire rate. It can be combined with Ebony Wings to create Vandalier, which is certainly worth it, but on its own, it’s a terrible weapon to use.
Gatti Amari
This cat, Gatti Amari, will walk around and occasionally change directions. Occasionally, if it feels like it — in true cat fashion — it will attack an enemy if close enough. This RNG may-or-may-not attack feature makes this weapon essentially useless, as you have zero control over it.
Santa Water
Santa Water leaves little blobs of damaging water around, but its infrequency and small size make it practically useless. Funnily enough, La Borra, the better version of this weapon, is one of the best in Vampire Survivors. You do not want to be using Santa Water for any reason, it’s that ineffective.
Lightning Ring
This weapon makes lightning strike from the sky. The impact zone of the lightning is what does the damage, however, not the bolts themselves. The damage isn’t that impressive and the randomized nature of this weapon does not make it that optimal for use.
Shadow Pinion
This weapon is universally hated. It doesn’t have a great cooldown, and it attacks only certain portions around you. Perhaps the absolute hatred of this weapon isn’t that deserved, but it is clear why people generally stay away from it.
I hope this has cleared up which weapons to absolutely stay away from in Vampire Survivors. For more help, pay PC Invasion a visit.
