Texas Chain Saw Massacre: Best Connie build

There's no lock Connie can't pick.

Being one of the best Victims in Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Connie excels in efficient lockpicking. If you follow the best upgrade path for her main ability, and give her useful perks, Connie can be a master escape artist. If you want to be a Connie main, and you’re unsure of how to level her up, here’s the best Connie build for Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

If you plan to focus on building Connie, you better prepare yourself for unlocking all the exits for your teammates. She has great Proficiency, a good amount of Stealth, and a highly-useful ability for quick lockpicking. Focused allows Connie to unlocks a door nearly instantly. Unfortunately, stamina and the Family proximity warning are negatively impacted. Nevertheless, when in a pinch, this ability comes in clutch.

Best Attributes for Connie in Texas Chain Saw Massacre

  1. Proficiency
  2. Stealth
  3. Endurance

To no surprise, Connie starts with high Proficiency, decent Stealth, and a little bit of Endurance. Her Toughness and Strength are pretty low, so I wouldn’t bother trying to change those. Instead, focus on making her Proficiency better, alongside her Stealth and Endurance.

Better Proficiency means Connie can perform actions like lockpicking faster without the risk of breaking the Unlock Tool. Alongside that, her Stealth will allow her to fish for Unlock Tools much quieter. Finally, upgrading her Endurance a little can make it easier for her to escape after unlocking an exit.

Best Perks for Connie in Texas Chain Saw Massacre

  • Efficient Locksmith
  • Tools Tracks
  • Intuition
  • Pick on Me
  • Must Have Been the Wind

Although you can only pick three Perks to run at once in Texas Chain Saw Massacre, these five are some great potential choices. Efficient Locksmith is a must-have, as it grants Connie a 20-30-40% chance (Levels one-three) to keep the Unlock Tool instead of it disappearing after a use. This allows her to not have to constantly go back to find more Unlock Tools. Once you escape your restraints, Tool Tracks will make all Unlock Tools within 50 meters to highlight for 30-60-90 seconds.

You can see a pattern with these Perks, as four of the five are in the Proficiency category. Next up in Intuition, which will highlight the location for a key item (fuse/valve) once you’re holding one for 40-70-100 seconds. I often get lost throughout the maps, which makes this a very helpful Perk. Pick On Me will highlight a door or gate you opened with an Unlock Tool for all Victims, lasting 10-20-30 seconds. Connie not only helps herself escape, but others as well.

Finally, there’s one Stealth Perk that you may find useful. With Must Have Been the Wind, the noise you generate when using crawl spaces or gathering items is disregarded. Although this does have 3-4-5 charges, Connie will be scavenging for Unlock Tools quite often, and this makes her even more stealthy.

Best Focused ability tree in Texas Chain Saw Massacre

Not only does Connie start with a pretty great ability, but you can upgrade it with earned XP. The only problem is that while you can reach up to three levels, you can only choose specific pathways to follow. Certain paths can cut off other potential paths, making the upgrades difficult to decide.

Personally, I think you should pick each buff available, but in this specific order. I would start with the Shorter Debuff Duration on level one. That debuff isn’t too long at 20 seconds, especially if you’re using the ability on the final exit. At level two, Decreased Stamina Cost will help Connie’s stamina debuff decrease.

Finally, the best upgrade is Quicker Recharge Rate, which is why I picked it for level three. At this level, it will reduce the recharge time significantly. After getting Focused to its highest level, Connie’s ability will be fairly balanced enough, even with the debuff.

  • Level one: Shorter Debuff Duration
    • Once activated, stamina and Family proximity debuff is 20 seconds.
  • Level two: Decreased Stamina Cost
    • Stamina consumed while activating Focused ability is reduced by 35%. Does not stack.
  • Level three: Quicker Recharge Rate
    • Reduces the ability recharge time to 180 seconds.
