A pair of new PlayStation Vita titles have been revealed by Sony at is Gamescom press event today. First to be shown was a new puzzle-platformer from LittleBigPlanet developers Media Molecule called Tearaway. As you’d expect from a Vita title, there’s a fair bit of environmental manipulation with the touch controls.

The game will also support Vita’s built-in camera and motion controls. More details are sure to come as Gamescom progresses.

In something of a contrast to Tearaway’s whimsical visuals, the second Vita announcement was for Killzone Mercenary. Not much was actually said about this title, but Sony did show a short video confirming that it … well … exists. Again, expect more news in the coming weeks.
