The release of Fortnite Season 6 has introduced a range of brand new content to the battle royale. There are some new challenges for you to complete to earn some XP towards your new battle pass. Some game changing additions have also been released such as the ability to craft weapons. Further still, Fortnite Season 6 has introduced animals to the map that you are able to tame. Utilizing this new feature can prove to be helpful, as the animals will assist you when fighting opponents.

Taming a wolf can be deadly, as they will help you attack enemy players. Wolves do not appear to spawn in any specific location and they roam around in packs, so you may have to search around the map. Once you find some wolves, you will have to eliminate one and pick up the meat that the dead wolves drop. Then, throw the meat down near another wolf and try and hide out of sight. The wolf will get distracted by the meat, giving you a chance to approach the wolf and interact with it to tame it.

Add a boar to your team

Next, taming a boar works in a similar way to taming a wolf. In addition, you may encounter boars more frequently as they are scattered around the map. To tame a boar, you will need to collect a fruit or vegetable which can be found at a farm. Once you have found a boar, you can throw down the fruit or vegetable near the animal. While doing this, you have to make sure that the boar does not see you. While the boar is distracted by the fruit or vegetable, you can walk up to it and tame it.

The final animal that you can tame in Fortnite Season 6 is a chicken. It is perhaps the easiest animal out of the three to tame. The chicken will not attack you, it will just run away. As such, you will have to chase it down. You will be able to interact with it once you get close enough. Pressing the jump button will allow you to fly through the air with assistance from the chicken flapping its wings. This animal may be the least useful out of the three, but it can be fun to use. It can also prove valuable if you need to make an escape from enemy players or the incoming storm.

The ability to tame animals is one of the most unique features in Fortnite Season 6. However, you will have to keep an eye out for enemy players who are also using this feature to their advantage. It will be interesting to see if Epic Games introduce more animals that can be tamed as the season progresses.
