What once was limited to consoles is coming to PC: an HD remake of Tales of Symphonia will be going up on Steam as part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the Tales franchise.
Here’s what the Steam listing for Tales of Symphonia has to say about the game:
“In a dying world, legend has it that a Chosen One will one day rise from amongst the people and the land will be reborn. The line between good and evil blurs in this epic adventure where the fate of two interlocked worlds hangs in the balance.”
That’s not a whole lot of information, but it does sound like the original game. Considering the age of the original, this remake shouldn’t be too demanding on your hardware either, right?
Right. Steam lists some pretty friendly-looking minimum and recommended specs to run the game, so players will be less likely to be unable to run the game on launch day.
Minimum:

- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz / AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+, 2.6GHz
- Memory: 1 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 8800GT / ATI Radeon HD 4830
- DirectX: Version 9.0
- Hard Drive: 7 GB available space
- Additional Notes: Gamepad Support
Recommended

Speaking of launch day, which of the 366 days in 2016 will it be? Whichever day it is, you’ve still got enough time left in 2015 to make sure your gaming rig can run Tales of Symphonia, and run it well.
