Telltale pulls an “oh hey, our new episodic series starts tomorrow by the way” with Tales from the Borderlands, popping out a 25 November launch date for PC. That news comes from the font of all publisher-controlled gaming info, twitter.
'Tales from the @Borderlands'
11/25 @steam_games (PC)
11/25 @PlayStation 4 & PS3 in North America
Additional dates/platforms forthcoming!— The Walking Dead Game (@telltalegames) November 25, 2014
Look, there’s Telltale saying it and everything. Well, writing it.
The game also has a Steam page up, showing that Tales from the Borderlands will be going for $25.00 USD once the 10% ‘pre-order’ discount disappears. That price, of course, gets you all five planned episodes.
If you have the patience, it’ll probably be much better value to just wait. Telltale’s games have a habit of dropping to about 50% off once half the season is released, if The Wolf Among Us or Walking Dead Season Two are anything to go by.
In Tales from the Borderlands you’ll be playing as two characters: “Rhys, a Hyperion ‘suit’ with dreams of being the next Handsome Jack, and Fiona, a Pandoran con artist looking to score her biggest ever swindle.” I think there’s a tacit “with hilarious consequences” implied, there.
