Take-Two says BioShock Franchise is Here to Stay

In early 2014, when Ken Levine decided to let go of the BioShock franchise with Irrational Games it was a sad day for all. Fortunately, Take-Two CEO, Strauss Zelnick, remains positive about the game’s future.

We do believe [BioShock] is beloved. We think it’s important [and] certainly something that we’re focused on.

Though this promising news is now over a year old, Zelnick currently reaffirmed his stance over the weekend at MKM Partners Investor Day Conference. He’s directly committed the franchise’s future to 2k games.

BioShock is unquestionably a permanent franchise in our company and one that we do believe in. The franchise is in the hands of 2K.

Though the future of such a popular series still remains a mystery, we are hopeful to see the next installment of BioShock in the future.
